Audrey’s Magic Nine – #07
It’s not near as epic as bringing Dr. Frankenstein’s monster to life. But, it definitely adds a little extra to the story. 🙂

Give her a Teddy Ruxpin and really freak her out! Geez, I remember when those things first came out when I was young. That mouth that went up-and-down up-and-down and those horrible lifeless staring eyes!
HA! You are so spot on. I should totally do that. Ruxpin had a similar lifelessness to the performing mascots at Showbiz Pizza and Chuck E. Cheese Pizza.
Somewhere, back in those pre-Internet days, was a way to order bootleg tapes for Teddy so he’d tell dirty jokes and sing off-color Army cadences.
HA! I did not know that. Squeaky clean Ruxpin talking dirty? I might have to see if they have any footage on Youtube. 😀
Because, Audrey! You’re magical!
That she is!
She’s collected six of nine — but is she one of them, too?
That’s a really good question (and one that I can’t yet answer). 🙂
“Yer a wizard, Audrey.” Someone had to say it. Also, this is kind of reminiscent of a scene in Illusions by Richard Bach.
Let me guess: Audrey is actually the transformed witch believed to be the cause of sending them to Earth. She kept her powers, but lost her age and her memory.
That’s actually a really good guess. Maybe too good….. -squints eyes- 😀
When did they get a cat?
They’ve always had the cat. He/she lurks and pops up from time to time…usually in the background. 🙂
The real question is, can the cat talk now……
